A Second Chance

For those of you who know what i'm talking about in this poem - please don't judge me! No - i'm not being over confident... and i'm not putting all my hopes on this. But yes, there is a part of me that's wishful - and I do really feel as though my life has rewound.

So please don't judge. I assure you, i'm not a cocky, self-absorbed, bitch as I appear to be. :)

I think my life just rewound
And I’ve been given an opportunity
To live the last few years of my life
The way it’s meant to be

Could it be the hand of god?
Or a twist of fate?
Since I don’t believe in either
I won’t contemplate

But I will make the right choices
And I will be strong
I won’t let go of my dreams
This time around

I’ll take my opportunity
Oh yes, I will
Make the most of it
For sure, I will

For how many people get this?
A second chance at life
And even if some people do
How many make it a better life?

I am most thankful to my stars
For what I have just been given
Look out world, here I come!
My new life is about to begin
