Goodbye

It’s 2 am and I’m waking up
Today’s the day I make a brand new start
My bags are packed and I’m ready to go
My cab is waiting for me at the door

I have to rush but I make it on time
With a trolley chained to my left hand
I look around with my head held high
Look out world, I’m ready to fly

And as I wave goodbye
I leave behind all my peers, all my fears and all my tears
You know I can’t deny
This is the life I chose, one filled with hope and so much more
So I say goodbye

Its 5 am and I’m finally through
Airport check-ins and security too
The people around me now seem fine
Whatever happened to all those crying outside?

The numbers keep changing and it’s finally time
To embark on a journey, this journey of mine
I look out of my window, feeling so high
Here I come world, I’m all set to fly

And as I wave goodbye
I leave behind all my peers, all my fears and all my tears
