Road to Recovery

I like how you say thank you, with a kiss on my back
From when I’m lying spent, just before you hit the sack

I like how we argue with the most random reasons
Our way of showing love, in a funny conversation

I like to spend time, wondering
If things weren’t the same, how would it have been?
Would I still be so sure?
Would you still be my cure?
Would we have made our way back here?

Baby I, live my every day, thinking about your smile
This is my road to recovery
Baby I, live my every day, happy cos you’re still mine
This is my road to recovery
And baby I, can face the whole world alone this time
Cos you’re my road to recovery

I like how you make me see, who I need to be
Without saying a word, you sense what I feel

Oh I like how you make a face when you know you’re late
And I just can’t resist blaming it on fate

I like to spend time, wondering
If things weren’t the same, how would it have been?
Would I still be so sure?
Would you still be my cure?
Would we have made our way back here?

Baby I, live my every day, thinking about your smile
This is my road to recovery
Baby I, live my every day, happy cos you’re still mine
This is my road to recovery
And baby I, can face the whole world alone this time
Cos you’re my road to recovery

I like to spend time, wondering
If things weren’t the same, how would it have been?
Would I still be so sure?
Would you still be my cure?
Would we have made our way back here?

Baby I, live my every day, thinking about your smile
This is my road to recovery
Baby I, live my every day, happy cos you’re still mine
This is my road to recovery
And baby I, can face the whole world alone this time
Cos you’re my road to recovery
