So Long My Friend

Four o clock in the morning, I wake up to ringing of my phone
Sobbing on the other side, I feel the tears as if they were my own
“He’s gone” came her voice so soft
“I’m over” she said, “Now, I am lost”

So long, my friend
To new beginnings, from crappy endings
So long, my friend
Someday we’ll meet again, someday we’ll meet again

Family starts to pour in, as I take my seat in the front row
Prayers seem worthiless, for this boy who had just sold his soul
“I’m weak” came his voice so strong
I still remember, the night was still young

So long, my friend
To new beginnings, from crappy endings
So long, my friend
Someday we’ll meet again, someday we’ll meet again

When white lights and halo’s, take over control
Illusions and monotony, makes life shallow
And you are just a spectator
You are just a spectator

So long, my friend
To new beginnings, from crappy endings
So long, my friend
Someday we’ll meet again, someday we’ll meet again

So long, my friend
To new beginnings, from crappy endings
So long, my friend
Someday we’ll meet again, someday we’ll meet again
